Volume is sound. Sound that people can drown out, or ignore, or turn off. [He flips a few switches on his console.] Like this, you see? I'm turning off the sound to your video feed. [He smiles brightly at her and continues.]

Power is control. Being in charge of events. At the moment, I'm afraid it really does appear that the Architect has all the power, enough that he's controlling all five of you, putting you into a screeching panic. Without power, no-one actually has to listen to a word you say, and considering how very rude you've been to the Citizens for an apparently powerless person, I don't assume they will.

Oh, you're being very polite now. But word of advice, people aren't generally very pleased when you play with their lives. Letting guests eventually leave the party of their own volition is also generally considered to be polite.

And I already know, give me some credit. I don't trust any of you. It didn't prevent the rips from yanking me through the wall. Therefore, I don't need the warning. I just thought it would be kind to give you a little bit of advice.
